About the Opportunity

The Vice President of Product Leadership in the Americas, a core member of Driscoll’s of the Americas (DOTA) Leadership Team, is responsible for the strategic direction, integration, and performance of the company’s berry product portfolio, including all four Berries and New Products. This executive leads a team of Senior Directors, each responsible for a major product or supply function. The Vice President of Product Leadership drives and ensures alignment with the company’s mission, vision, values and business strategy, annually delivering the 5-year plan and associated strategic priorities that set the direction for the Americas business. This role has the unique charge of balancing the needs of Consumers (Delight), Customers (Availability), Growers (Economic opportunity) and Driscoll’s (Market share, Profitability) to maximize the long-term opportunity for each Berry category in the Americas.

 

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

• Set and communicate the vision and long-term strategy for all berry product categories, ensuring alignment with company goals and market opportunities

• Oversee the development and execution of 5-year supply and product plans across all berry categories

• Drive innovation and portfolio growth by identifying new market opportunities and ensuring successful product launches

Cross-Functional Integration:

• Foster collaboration between Product Leadership/Supply Development, Nursery, R&D, Operations, Production, Sales and Marketing to deliver on market and financial objectives

• Ensure best practices in supply planning, product development, and commercialization are shared and implemented across all berries

Team Leadership & Development:

• Directly manage Senior Directors, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management

• Mentor and develop talent across the function and business, with a focus on building a strong succession pipeline

• Champion a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement

Financial & Operational Oversight:

• Own annual financial planning for all berry categories

• Marshal resources to secure major investments in research, nursery, supply chain, and new product initiatives

• Monitor and report on key performance indicators, adjusting strategy as needed

External Representation:

• Represent the company with key customers, growers, suppliers, and industry partners

• Maintain a strong understanding of global market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment

   

Candidate Profile

•    Bachelor’s degree in agribusiness, business administration, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
•    10+ years of progressive leadership experience in product management, supply chain, production, R&D or related roles within consumer goods or agriculture
•    Demonstrated success leading large, cross-functional teams and managing senior leaders
•    Deep understanding of market dynamics, supply chain management, grower economics and product portfolio strategy
•    Exceptional communication, ability to influence, negotiation, and organizational skills
•    Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
•    Ability and desire to travel domestically and internationally often

Compensation & Benefits:

The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the salary range and benefits for the position posted.  The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, work location, internal pay equity, and other objective job-related factors.

Salary Range estimated for the VP of Product Leadership, Americas: $266,000 to $335,000 USD.
