Beyond Gravity is looking for a Team Lead for BG West who will be responsible for ensuring production area is actively engaged to meet daily production sequence. This person will provide effective training, optimum flow, and ensure safety and quality standards are maintained at all times.  

Your Mission

  • Production Systems - maintains all visual management items for their area (includes daily maintenance of visual management, FOD policy, 5S implementation, etc.) - 10% 

  • Provides daily assignments during shift start meeting to all of team. Daily assignments come from schedule and visual operation displays in area as defined by production manager. Takes attendance during shift start meeting. - 10%  

  • Coaches team members when encountering behaviors and non-compliance to schedule times / or breaks / cell phone usage 
  • Escalate issues to prod manager for documentation  
  • Helps to onboard, train, and assess new hires and existing employees on technical skills 
  • Issues/Escalations - resolves as many issues as possible each day to keep their area fully operational. Works with other areas and escalates issues when unable to resolve at lowest level. - 60% to 80% 

  • Process/compliance audits as well 
  • Process improvements with ME/QE 
  • Production - works hands-on to complete production activities and with critical processes, trainings, etc. - 0% to 20%  

Your Story

  • High School diploma and 2 years of relative experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing documents, drawings, safety rules and procedure manuals. 

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Must have excellent leadership skills 

  • Attention to detail 

  • Interpersonal skills 

  • Ability to handle stress 

  • Experience with paint booth operations 

  • Knowledge of 5S work areas 

  • Extensive knowledge of machining composite materials
