Homeoffice Sr. Software Developer - Remote at Vitalant

We’re looking for a full-time temporary Sr. Software Developer (6-month assignment) to help advance that mission by designing, developing, and supporting software applications that power our operations across Vitalant, its affiliates, and business units. In this role, you’ll collaborate with teams across the organization to deliver reliable, high-quality applications and technology solutions that strengthen our life-saving systems.

As a Sr. Software Developer, you'll get to:

• Lead research, analysis, and activities for change requests and work orders.
• Manage development efforts to ensure projects meet established deadlines.
• Design and recommend proof-of-concept solutions for new data technologies.
• Ensure documentation meets software development standards and best practices.
• Prepare accurate time estimates for design reviews, coding, and testing tasks.
• Evaluate and recommend third-party software solutions.
• Collaborate with IT teams—including Architecture, Infrastructure, Business Analysis, and Quality Assurance—to deliver high-quality software.
• Partner with end users to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
• Stay current with blood banking regulations and standards, guiding necessary system updates and maintaining professional industry relationships.
