Job Description
Candidate must be knowledgeable in aircraft systems operation and maintenance to include landing gear, powerplants, flight controls, disassembly, reassembly, rigging, and aircraft movement.
* Knowledge of FAA, DoD, or OEM maintenance procedures and standards.
Must be able to read and speak English. Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Additional mission essential functions and other duties may be assigned as required.
Candidate will provide shadowed toolbox with etched tools per minimum inventory and specifications as detailed by the company.

Basic Qualifications
* Candidate must be able to troubleshoot and repair malfunctions ranging from faulty parts to improper wiring.
* Candidate must have experience with using maintenance manuals, schematics and wiring diagrams, to diagnose and locate malfunctions and repair according to applicable technical data.
* Candidate must have experience with to collaborating with engineers, inspectors, and other maintenance personnel to ensure aircraft are airworthy and mission-ready.
* Candidate must have experience with installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting, and functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on C-130/L-100 aircraft.
* Candidate must have knowledge in the makeup, operation, installation, and adjustment of a variety of major, interrelated and/or integrated C-130/L-100 aircraft systems, subsystems, and assemblies such as fuel and hydraulic systems, flight control systems, instrumentation systems, engine(s), landing gear assemblies, airframe, and control surfaces IAW applicable technical data.
* Candidate must obtain an FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant license within 18 months from hiring date, or possess current certification(s).
* Candidate must have a High school education or equivalent (GED).
Desired skills
* Experience with servicing, pre-flight, launch and recovery (post-flight inspection) of aircraft.
* Experience with aircraft logbooks, maintenance manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives and Time Compliance Technical Orders.
* Experience with depot-level heavy maintenance repairs, including disassembly, inspection, refurbishment, and reassembly of major structural assemblies.
* Experience with aircraft modification projects, including installation of structural components, mission equipment, and custom configurations.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes.
* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
* Ability to identify aircraft locations by station, butt-line, and waterline as shown on engineering documentation and technical orders.
* Willing to be trained and/or certified in special skills.
