Duties and Responsibilities:
- Checking work order, properly select processed material checking for weight, alloy, size and quality.
- Proper set-up and operation of an edging machine.
- In process inspect of material to ensure proper quality is maintained.
- Identify the correct edging tools to utilize.
- Run material according to specifications of work order.
- Check material to ensure customer quality requirements are met.
- Properly identify all edged material and complete all documentation.
- May require the repair of minor mechanical problems.
- Group completed coils together by work order in designated area.
- Maintain work area in a clean and neat fashion.
- Math aptitude/setup calculations testing
- Troubleshoot any issues and concerns.
- Follow ALL safety protocols for the company
Required Education and Experience:
- Education and/or experience – High School degree or equivalent preferred. Prior experience or training in a related field or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Math – Must be able to use and understand simple mathematics, using addition, subtraction, fractions and decimals. Knowledge of the Standard/Imperial measuring system is required, and knowledge of the metric system is a plus.
- Understanding and use of basic measuring instruments required; micrometers, digital calipers, tape measure is preferred.
