Position: Bingo Floater. Hourly: $16.00+tips Nonexempt – Non-Negotiable. Location: Gaming Division. Reports to: Bingo Session Supervisor.
Shift Differential: 2nd shift- 2nd shift $1.00/hour and 3rd shift $3.00/hour.
In accordance with the Gaming Ordinance, all non-gaming employees whose annual income reaches $50,000 or more will be required to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
Responsibilities:
- Uphold the highest standards of customer service in accordance with casino policies.
- Perform cashier duties, including selling entry packets and processing transactions.
- Conduct floor sales while accurately verifying customer purchases.
- Return unsold inventory to the Bingo Inventory Technician.
- Inform customers about pricing, additional sheets, games, and upcoming events.
- Maintain an acceptable attendance record within the department.
- Demonstrate reliability and punctuality when reporting to work.
- Adhere to the approved departmental uniform dress code.
- Ensure compliance with all workplace policies, procedures, ordinances, and laws, including the Employment Manual, Gaming Ordinance, State Gaming Compact, Tribal Internal Controls, and other communications from supervisory or regulatory personnel.
- Call bingo games according to the established schedule.
- Maintain compliance with the Smoke, Drug, and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.
- Follow all workplace policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Adapt to changing duties and responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications & Education:
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years; a High School Diploma or GED is preferred (required if under 19).
- Courteous and friendly demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
- Basic math skills required; may need to pass a math test.
- Clear and strong voice for addressing large crowds.
- Prior money handling experience is preferred.
- Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
- Preferred knowledge of bingo games and operations.
- Must obtain and maintain a Mohican Nation Gaming License.
- Must pass a Criminal Investigation Background Check (CIB).
- Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and health screenings.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities.
- Positive attitude and a commitment to teamwork.
- Willingness to adapt to change and engage in self-development.
- Attendance at relevant training sessions is required.
- Eligibility for the employer's liability insurance.
Work Conditions:
- Frequent standing, walking, talking, and hearing are required.
- Hand movements involving repetitive motions, grasping, and finger dexterity are essential.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching may be necessary.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities are required, with corrective aid as needed.
- Work is performed in a casino setting with noise, maintaining a non-smoking environment.
- Evening and weekend shifts, including extended and irregular hours, are required.
- Excellent personal hygiene is essential due to close interaction with others.
