Application Production Support Specialist at Arobas Personnel

Arobas Personnel is looking for an Application Production Support Specialist for a contract with one of our clients located in Montreal.

 *Remote : Hybrid- 3 days/week on site* 

What will your day look like?

• Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and coordinate timely resolutions with stakeholders, clients, software vendors, and technology specialists.
• Support the full product deployment life cycle, including new releases, standards, and patches.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date support documentation, following the organization’s policies and tools.
• Provide project support and deliver timely updates on progress, risks, and action plans.
• Prepare documentation for business continuity, system architecture, and disaster recovery plans for supported platforms.
• Coordinate post-migration validation in production environments, ensuring end-to-end testing with users.
• Participate in governance and audit activities, addressing findings and implementing corrective actions.
• Contribute to post-incident reviews, documenting root causes and preventive measures.
• Collaborate with global teams across the U.S., Canada, Paris, India, Singapore, and Hong Kong on enterprise-wide initiatives.

What you bring to the team:

• 5+ years of experience in application production support.
• Strong hands-on expertise with UNIX, Linux, and Shell scripting.
• Solid experience with Oracle (preferred), including SQL and PL/SQL.
• Familiarity with Windows servers.
• Working knowledge of infrastructure and security technologies such as VMware, WebSphere, Tomcat, firewalls, PGP encryption, CFT, IBM MQ Series, etc.
• Flexibility to work various shifts (morning, evening, weekend) as needed to support critical operations.
• Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a 24/7 production environment.

• English: Advanced (5/5) — French is an asset.
