THE ROLE:
Working with our Drilling team in Calgary, this will be a full-time student position from May through August 2026. During your summer, you will gain exposure to the energy industry by attending sessions hosted by subject matter experts and will have an opportunity to showcase your learnings with your student network. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
- Execution of data focused projects related to drilling engineering
- Potential travel to field work sites
- Drilling data analysis and reporting automation
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Actively enrolled in an undergraduate degree or diploma program at a post-secondary institution in Canada, and must be returning to undergraduate studies after the work term
- Enrolled in Bachelor of Science, majoring in Mechanical, Petroleum or Chemical Engineering preferred but will consider other engineering disciplines
- Proficient in MS Office suite, with superior Excel skills
- Proficient in Power BI
- Experience in data analytics and coding considered an asset
- Experience with geoSCOUT and WellView is considered an asset
- The ability to collaborate and build strong working relationships with your team, peers, and diverse business groups
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time and data management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with limited oversight
