Job Summary:
Pay Range: $18.00-19.00 DOE
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to Midnight
We’re looking for a forklift operator who has experience unloading/loading 53’ dry van trailers high and tight. Frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying freight is required.
In addition to unloading/loading trailers, our warehouse workers assist our team of in-house drivers to load and off load freight in a timely manner. Our warehouse workers also receive and process inbound freight being dropped to our dock by outside carriers. They label pallets and boxes when received and verify the documentation and condition of incoming shipments to assure quality standards are met.
Warehouse Workers are responsible for staging shipments in the proper area of the warehouse and maintaining a safe and clean warehouse and yard. This is a safety sensitive position and falls under federal drug and alcohol regulations.
California Sierra Express has been in business for over 35 years. We operate six freight terminals in CA and one in Reno, NV. We're an overnight carrier that primarily serves international and domestic freight forwarders as a final mile Pick-Up and Delivery agent for shipments that travel from all over the globe by air, sea and land.
You'll be joining a local team of over 30 people all committed to providing the best service possible to our customers who trust Cal Sierra to move their shipments on-time and without damage all throughout the greater Los Angeles.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Consistent attendance Mon - Fri is mandatory.
- Operate a forklift safely when loading shipments in and out of trailers or staging and stacking in the warehouse.
- Comply with truck and cargo security requirements as outlined by the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA).
- Comply with safe work practices as required by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA)
- Comply with federal drug and alcohol regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License, preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of forklift experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English; verbally and in writing.
- Ability to demonstrate basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and some division.
