TEMPORARY German Teacher at Oregon City School District 62

Oregon City High School is looking for an outstanding, dynamic German Teacher to join our World Languages department. Our ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who puts student success first and understand the importance of positive relationships with all students. 

Special Requirements: ( Certification, training, and specialty skills or previous experience)

1. Valid Oregon teaching license with an endorsement in German.

2. Fluent German required.

3. Knowledge and training in AVID and WICOR strategies preferred.

4. Ability to use variety of teaching strategies to assess student learning in reading, writing, speaking, comprehension, and cultural understanding.

5. Experience and knowledge of the use of technology in the language classroom.

6. Ability to manage student behavior and provide a safe, culturally responsive learning environment.

7. High School teaching experience preferred.

8. Personal Attributes: High energy, creativity, collaborative, student-friendly, and excellent attendance.

This TEMPORARY 1.0 FTE position begins as soon as possible. Position end date is TBD.

Annual salary listed will be adjusted based on number of work days.
