Valley Cabinet is seeking a Towline Sander/Loader/Unloader within our Prefinishing Department to join our team today!
This is a great entry level position and does not require any experience.

Position Summary: 

This entry level position is responsible for sanding wooden articles in addition to loading and unloading the towline.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use different grits of sandpaper to hand sand smooth surface of wooden articles prior to finishing and between finish coats.
  • Load continuously moving towline by hanging wooden articles on line using proper racks and/or hooks.
  • Unload continuously moving towline placing completed wooden articles onto carts.  
  • Maintain quality standards on all products.
  • Work efficiently while paying attention to detail.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Follow all safety rules and contribute to a safe work environment.
  • Participate and contribute to a “Team” environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 

  • No required education or job experience.
  • Ability to learn and retain on the job training.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail 
  • Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions in English.
  • Ability to meet quality standards - strong attention to detail and quality. 
  • Ability to consistently meet/exceed production quotas.

Physical Requirements: 

Ability to perform the essential functions of the position including, but not be limited to the following:

  • Sit, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Stand for extended periods of time.
  • Moving, bending, standing, kneeling, lifting and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds. 
  • Pushing/pulling, grasping/squeezing, pinching, fine motor dexterity.
  • Exposure to high noise levels and requires wearing hearing protection in designated areas.
  • Exposure to plant environment to include moving parts, fumes, dust. Safety glasses to be worn at all times.
  • Endure heat and cold conditions in the plant.
