Procurement Category Manager - Inbound Market Data at CME Group

CME Group is seeking a highly motivated and intelligent self-starter to manage CME's Inbound Market Data. The Category Manager is a sourcing professional, negotiator, and project manager accountable for end-end sourcing and contracting of market data. This role provides essential procurement and supplier expertise in the areas of strategic sourcing with strong commercial and contractual experience.
Principal Accountabilities:
Act as business point of contact for all market data service reviews while overseeing and managing CME's market data spend
Work directly with individuals across the business to determine need for market data, ensure usage is maximized, and there is no redundancy
Maintain accurate information on each market data vendor including descriptions, terms, financials, and contacts
Create business unit market data vendor reporting and track spend across business units and functions
Manage the day-to-day firmwide market data operations, including adding or deleting users and reconciling invoices
Ensure accurate allocations of market data services to individual business units and users
Understand user requirements for contract renewals and user requests for new services
Identify cost-effective opportunities and socialize those ideas with stakeholders
Manage and oversee technology and tools supporting market data management
Skills & Software Requirements:
Strong understanding of market data and market data provides such as LSEG, Bloomberg, S&P Global, Moody's, etc. a plus
Excellent understanding of procurement processes
Excellent analytical skills
Strong knowledge and use of procurement applications
Excellent communication skills
Strong project management skills
Strong understanding of contracting principles

The pay range for this role is $86,900-$144,900. Actual salary offered will be dependent on a wide array of factors including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills, education and comparison to internal employees (where relevant).
