The Great Bend Media Center is seeking an individual to lead our programming team. We are looking for a seasoned broadcaster who understands and loves the local relationship and responsibility local radio is entrusted with when serving their community.
This position will oversee the day-to-day operations of four radio stations and coordinate communications between programming, sales, and management. This position will also be responsible for our Promotions department, Production assignments and Program Director duties for our partner station KBGL, a Hull Broadcasting FM Station.
Operation Manager Responsibilities:
- Ensure reliable operation of radio stations and audio streams
- Guide and promote creativity and good programming practices with Program Directors, develop talent and oversee air quality
- Maintain Nexgen and provide a link to RCS support
- Provide front line communication for engineering
- Oversee execution of sales packages and create new revenue opportunities
- Assign Daily Production
- Schedule part-time employees
Program Director Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging programming and grow ratings
- Maintain music library and daily music logs
- Disseminate community, promotions, and format information to air talent
- Keep station imaging and promos fresh and relevant
- Execute station promotions
- Manage Social Media presence
Promotions Director Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute station promotions and events
- Collaborate with programming and sales departments
- Manage on-air and digital promotional content
- Supervise street team and promotional staff
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners
- Track and analyze promotional campaign performance
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years radio programming experience
- Knowledge of Nexgen
- Independent problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
Compensation:
Compensation is commensurate with experience along with a competitive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), paid vacation and Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
