Assist the principal in the administration of the school building operations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree required and Master’s Degree preferred.
- Certification: Principal K-12 Certification, Secondary Principal Certification, or other appropriate certification as determined by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
- License: N/A.
Experience:
- A minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience required.

Functions/Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide general supervision and direction to selected staff persons, both professional and support.
- Ensure proper placement of students within the overall educational program. Assist in the overall scheduling and analyzing of student data and Pennsylvania school assessment test results in order to align the curriculum to the student’s needs.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of a building-wide schedule for Pennsylvania standardized testing and other required benchmark testing.
- Assist in coordinating the curriculum, design, development, implementation and evaluation in cooperation with the Assistant to the Superintendent for Academic Programs.
- Manage building discipline, attendance, and grade reporting programs. Ensure that all the above are consistent within district policy and guidelines. Enforce Pennsylvania laws with respect to truancy.
- Assist in the development of the master schedule along with designating staff special assignments.
- Assist in the planning, attending and presiding over meetings with staff and also with the Superintendent and central office staff on various tasks, projects and departmental/curriculum areas.
- Perform various administrative tasks such as completing internal and external forms, submitting reports as required, maintaining accurate records and administering the labor agreements in a fair and consistent manner.
- Assist with selection, assignment, orientation and training of staff in cooperation with the central office.
- Assist in coordinating extracurricular programs and evaluating these programs by regular attendance at these events.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in written form with parents, parental groups, and community members.
- Work with central administrative staff on school problems that encompass the entire district.
- Ability to build and maintain working relationships with students, staff, parents, administrators, and community members.
- Ability to work regularly at assigned work hours, subject to lawful leave rights and responsibilities.
- Ability to use laptop or desktop computer presentation and instructional software, current software/technology packages, and related equipment.
- Ability and knowledge to use the internet and other data management programs to facilitate student data management and student growth as an instructional aid and research tool.
- Ability and knowledge to use technology to communicate with students, parents, staff administrators, and community members.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.

Terms of Employment:
Salary, work year, and other terms and conditions of employment as established by contract between Whitehall-Coplay School District, Superintendent, and the Whitehall-Coplay School District Board of Directors.
