Position Details
Position: Grade 7 English Teacher for the current 2025-2026 School Year.
Intended Start Date: Seeking a candidate that could begin immediately. We are willing to honor a committed candidate’s required notice period with their current employer.
Major Responsibilities:
- Teach five sections of 7th Grade English.
- Create an inviting and engaging classroom culture.
- Serve as a faculty advisor to assigned students.
- Provide a range of instructional and assessment strategies, leveraging technology to meet the needs of students.
- Provide instructional support to individual and small student groups.
- Communicate proactively and build positive relationships with students and families.
- Collaborate with departmental and divisional colleagues to create engaging lessons and a positive school culture.
- Track student data and uphold high behavioral and academic expectations.
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned, including proctoring a study hall.
Requirements
Qualifications
- A strong understanding of Middle School student development and a passion for English, reading, writing, and literature.
- Demonstrated knowledge of modern teaching methodologies, instructional techniques, and pedagogical principles.
- An interest in and ability to contribute to extracurricular activities and a commitment to community and belonging.
- Ideal candidate should have a demonstrated record of teaching excellence, a commitment to professional development and the ability to motivate and encourage students academically and personally.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: Three or more years of Middle School teaching experience strongly preferred.
Equivalency: Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience may be considered in place of the above requirements.
