Your Role at BHSN
As a Registered Nurse, you’ll play a key role in supporting the physical and behavioral health needs of clients through health screenings, medication administration, care coordination, and interdisciplinary collaboration with prescribers and treatment teams.
Work Schedule: 7:30am to 7:30pm

What your day might look like:
Dispense and administer prescribed medications, including injectables
Conduct health screenings and PROS Health Assessments
Participate in treatment planning and clinical documentation
Educate clients and staff on health conditions and medications
Manage inventory and security of medications and nursing supplies
Complete medication prior authorizations and coordination with PCPs
Respond to triage calls and support prescribers with documentation needs
Provide crisis intervention services, including community-based responses
Assist with onboarding and orientation of new nursing staff
Perform urine drug screenings and initiate tobacco cessation interventions as needed
Attend team meetings and ongoing training sessions
Your skills and qualifications:
Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license
CPR certification
Prior experience in behavioral health or related clinical setting strongly preferred
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Clinical knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses and treatment
Familiarity with electronic health records and computer applications preferred
Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation required for regional travel
