The Resident Assistant (Caregiver or Nursing Assistant) is responsible for providing personal care and delegated health-related services designed to maintain the resident’s physical and emotional well-being. This position is responsible for following the service schedule for each resident and correctly documents services provided.

Schedule Options:
- Part-Time Day. Work every other weekend and holiday rotation.
 - On Call / PRN/ As Needed
 
Pay: The targeted pay range for this job is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour. Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay including experience, qualifications, and, when applicable, certifications, licenses, and education.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Assist residents with daily activities such as dressing, grooming, bathing, eating, toileting, mobility, and transfers
Provide morning and evening care, including oral hygiene and incontinence care
Support use of assistive devices (e.g., glasses, hearing aids)
Administer medications as delegated by the RN
Observe and report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, or cognitive condition
Encourage resident independence and support self-care
Collaborate with team members in a dynamic care environment
Help with light cleaning tasks and lead or assist with resident activities
Respond to safety concerns, call lights, and changes in duties as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Must be 16 years of age or older
 - Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written
 - Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident’s Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations
 
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
 - Previous experience with working with seniors
 - Certified Nursing Assistant CNA and/or Home Health Aide
