Job Description
As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Specialist in Cincinnati, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help create a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your visible presence and proactive approach will help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. You'll be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and integrity, working together to support a caring environment where people come first. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations at the healthcare location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points and observe for unusual behavior or unauthorized persons within the location.
- Document incidents and maintain accurate records in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site-specific requirements.
- Assist patients, visitors, and staff with directions and general inquiries, promoting a helpful and approachable presence.
- Communicate and cooperate with staff, law enforcement, and/or emergency responders as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants must comply with all hospital vaccine requirements.
- A current guard card or license is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
