Job Details

Position Summary:

The Vice President, Operations is responsible for developing and maintaining the growth of the Risk Placement Team, ensuring quality control and member satisfaction, and overseeing the overall operational integrity of FirstChoice. The Vice President, Operations will oversee new member contracting and onboarding, manage the carrier aggregation process, member dues, lead the Risk Placement Team, and proactively manage opportunities to maximize revenue for FirstChoice and enhance the efficiency of operational processes and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and other industry partners.
  • Oversee the new member onboarding process including contracting, aggregation, and tracking projects in Salesforce.
  • Manage the Sales Operations Team and assist with member needs and inquiries including terminations, contracting questions, and general information requests.
  • Proactively manage FirstChoice aggregation requests to earn maximum profit share payouts by actively reviewing carrier agreements, member loss ratios, and other factors that could impact profitability.
  • Oversee Risk Placement Team operations. Collaborate with the Manager, Risk Placement team to manage commissions process, bonus payouts, and profit-sharing.
  • Collaborate with accounting and Sales Operations Coordinator to track, audit, and report collection of monthly member dues.
  • Monitor Reconciliation Dashboard, aggregation reports, Risk Placement Team production, carrier reports, and other relevant data to ensure that targets are reached and information is communicated to the President, FirstChoice and Regional Leaders in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that the FirstChoice team is utilizing Salesforce appropriately and communicate all changes and updates to the team as needed.
  • Track and report monthly goals and bonus earnings for the Risk Placement Team and the Regional Leaders to the President, FirstChoice for approval.
  • Develop and oversee implementation of program business. Proactively suggest opportunities to earn additional revenue by recommending new products and services for FirstChoice members.
  • Enhance the efficiency of all internal operational processes and procedures related to new member onboarding, retention, aggregation, and cross-selling.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and changes incorporating “proven practices” in the development of processes, services, and quality standards.
  • Other special projects, tasks or duties as assigned.

 

Selection Criteria

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, or related field. MBA or master’s preferred.
  • P&C license required. Additional insurance designations or licenses are a plus.
  • 10+ years sales and/or operations lead experience with a minimum of 5+ years within the insurance industry.
  • Proficient with technology including AMS, CRM, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Salesforce experience is a plus.

Other:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strong relationships with insurance carriers and partners within the insurance industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance plans and carriers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; utilizes techniques to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated creativity with regard to work.
  • Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours as needed
  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time.
  • Advanced Insurance Designations Preferred – CIC, CPCU, AIC, etc.
