One of the nation’s top 40 largest PR firms is looking for an Accounting clerk to join our team. This candidate will work directly with the firm's COO and Controller. The right candidate will have a basic understanding of accounting fundamentals and Quickbooks, strong communication skills, a positive attitude and ability to multitask and balance day-to-day accounting responsilbilities while maintaing accuracy. Candidates must be in commuting distance to our Ardmore office.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly invoices (retainer, project and expense billing), confirm accuracy with team leaders and email invoices to clients.
- Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, including data entry in QuickBooks, as well as with payables and receivables files; manage AP/bill pay (autopay and online payments whenever possible).
- Enter and reconcile credit card transactions into QuickBooks. Compare credit card statements with company's expense tracking tool to confirm accuracy, that all details are submitted with the expense, and coordinate employee reimburements when needed.
- Manage daily cash reports and deposit checks, EFTs, and credit card payments.
- Support with additional accounting or payroll-related responsibilities that arise from time to time.
- All other responsibilities as assigned.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2-4 years of experience in an accounting-related role
- Proficient in QuickBooks
- Proficient in Excel and Google Workspace
- Ability to multitask – comfortable balancing responsibilities, priorities and high volume
- Tech enabled and comfortable working in a digital/paperless environment
- Positive attitude
- Ability to balance work independently while keeping connected to immediate team
- Understands the importance of discretion and keeping info confidential
- Process and detailed oriented – focus on efficiency, effectiveness and accuracy
- Strong communicator
