Customer Quality Engineering Intern - Summer 2026 at Lenovo

We are hiring a Summer Intern to join our team as a Customer Quality Engineer. This position offers a broad range of lab-based Product Engineering experiences supporting the ThinkPad, Visuals, & Accessories Customer Quality Engineering team. This is a hands-on position that will expand your understanding of PC hardware, subsystems, monitors/accessories/options, and the Windows OS & drivers. In addition, you will be working with a global team of technology experts within one of the world's leading technology firms. This hardware-based opportunity does not involve software development or software debugging, but understanding programming languages, tools, and methods is useful in the role.Responsibilities:Evaluating emerging technology from both a business, technical, and user perspectiveWork with Product Engineers on problem reproduction and debugFunctional testing on various laptops, accessories, docks, IoT devices, and other portable devicesDocumenting test results and findings based on the analysis performed in the labAssisting engineers with typical laboratory work tasks including break/fix, asset management, measurements (voltage, thermal, acoustic, etc), shipping, etcSome customer field work with the engineers may be a possibilityBasic Requirements:Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer ScienceAbility to work onsite at the Morrisville, NC locationGood communication skills (fluent in English)Strong organizational skillsPreferred Requirements:Hobbyist or professional experience with PC assembly/repairSelf-motivatedWillingness to learn and ask questions Apply Now
