About the Role:
The Director of Business Development is responsible for cultivating long-term relationships with potential practice partners and guiding them through ESP’s engagement process. This role focuses on strategic relationship management and credibility building. The Director will represent ESP with professionalism to physician leaders and practice executives, facilitate meetings, coordinate engagement events, and ensure potential partners remain informed and connected over extended timelines.
What You’ll Do:
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities within target markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with physician leaders, practice administrators, and other decision-makers.
- Facilitate and coordinate engagement activities including site visits, dinners, and executive introductions.
- Partner with ESP leadership to prepare presentations, proposals, and messaging for prospective partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, finance, operations, HR) to ensure seamless execution of business development activities.
- Track and report pipeline activity, including progress, risks, and opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and physician practice needs to inform business development strategies.
- Represent ESP at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.

Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships.
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding growth targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to manage the full business development cycle from prospecting through close.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
