What You’ll Do
As a CMA, you’ll be at the center of patient care. On a typical day, you’ll:
- Provide patient care, administer medications, and assist with exams, treatments, and minor procedures.
- Room and prepare patients for visits, gathering accurate health histories and vitals.
- Document assessments, interventions, medications, and test results in the medical record.
- Process non-emergent patient calls and provide physician-guided advice.
- Schedule procedures, manage authorizations/referrals, and assist with prescription refills.
- Promote wellness by sharing patient education and supporting physician guidance.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and confidentiality policies.
What You Bring
- Current CMA certification (from an accredited organization).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of medical office and EHR experience.
- Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- A passion for patient-centered care.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- A knack for juggling multiple priorities with a smile.
- The ability to stay cool, calm, and collected when things get busy.
Physical Requirements:
- On your feet (standing/walking) about 90% of the day.
- Some sitting, bending, and reaching.
- Occasionally lifting or supporting up to 75 pounds to help safely move patients.
- Fine motor skills + visual acuity (accuracy is key in this role!).
