We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Willowbrook Apartments, a 72-unit affordable housing property located in Bay Point, CA. As a stand-alone role, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities to ensure a safe, well-maintained, and attractive living environment for residents. As a stand-alone role, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities to ensure a safe, well-maintained, and attractive living environment for residents. Responsibilities:
Maintenance Oversight: Independently supervise and perform maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks, to uphold property integrity and functionality.
Team Management: Take charge of maintenance responsibilities without direct supervision, including scheduling tasks efficiently and ensuring high-quality service delivery to residents.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies through regular inspections and prompt resolution of any issues.
Budget Management: Independently manage maintenance expenses within budgetary constraints while maintaining quality standards and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
Inventory Management: Maintainaccurate records of equipment, tools, and supplies, and manage inventory levels and procurement processes independently to support efficient maintenance operations.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies, including after-hours and on-call responsibilities, ensuring resident safety and satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: Minimum of 4 years of property maintenance experience, with demonstrated ability to work independently.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in various maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs.
Leadership Abilities: Strong self-management skills and the ability to work autonomously, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to addressing maintenance issues efficiently.
Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with residents and vendors.
Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in a customer service-oriented role is preferred.
Background Check: Successful completion of background and drug screenings.
