The Sr, IBMi Systems Engineer role is critical to the stability, performance, and scalability of our enterprise infrastructure, supporting high volume, mission-critical applications in a complex, IASP-enabled environment.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Administers and troubleshoots IBMi OS in an IASP-enabled environment
- Manages IBM SAN infrastructure, preferably DS8K series, including provisioning, replication, and backup
- Implements and supports PowerHA and Global Mirror for high availability and disaster recovery
- Coordinates and executes role swaps and manages Virtual Tape Libraries
- Monitors and optimizes system performance using tools like iDoctor
- Supports third-party and bespoke applications on IBM i
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure reliability and scalability
- Maintains detailed documentation and participates in on-call support rotations
