We are currently seeking a Family Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide care and support to a loved one or family member under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in accordance with the client’s plan of care.

Position Summary

The Family HHA provides personal care, assistance with daily living activities, and companionship to clients in their home setting. The Family HHA works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in compliance with all agency policies, procedures, and state regulations.

This role is idealfor family members or close relatives who meet the state’s eligibility andtraining requirements to provide care for their loved one through GreaterVision Healthcare Services.

Qualifications

✅ Must be 18 years of age or older

✅ Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certificate recognized by the State of Florida

✅ Successful completion of Level 2 Background Screening

✅ CPR and First Aidcertification (current and valid)

✅ Ability to follow care plans and communicate effectively with the supervising RN and family members

✅ Demonstrates compassion, patience, and reliability

✅ Must have the physical ability to assist clients safely with mobility and daily living needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to clients, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene support.
• Assist clients with mobility, positioning, and transfers as needed.
• Support clients with meal preparation, feeding, and medication reminders as directed.
• Maintain a clean and safe home environment for the client.
• Observe and report any changes in the client’s condition or behavior to the supervising nurse promptly.
• Encourage and support the client’s independence and participation in daily activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and GVHCS policies.
• Document care and activities accurately and submit required reports in a timely manner.
• Participate in ongoing in-service education and training as required by GVHCS.

Physical & Mental Requirements

• Must be able to lift, push, or assist clients weighing up to 160 lbs (with or without assistive devices).
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching required during care activities.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to follow care instructions, manage time efficiently, and maintain focus in a home care environment.
• Ability to handle the emotional and physical demands of providing care to loved ones in a home setting.
