We are seeking a driven Director of Landscape Architecture to lead our talented landscape architecture team in Orlando, FL. This individual will be responsible for leading, guiding and maintaining a team of Project Managers and Designers. Additionally, this individual will actively participate in the business development process to grow and develop this sector of the business.
This is a unique opportunity to step in to a leadership role with a well-established design staff and local support of other senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Provide design leadership and direction on all types of landscape architecture projects including master planned communities, public parks, recreation facilities, campus and resort work.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing Clients, drive new business development, cultivating client relationships, and leading proposal and interview efforts.
- Oversee and mentor a high-performing team of landscape architects.
- Maintains project budges, participates in and achieves firm’s financials objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners including municipalities, architects, engineers, and community stakeholders.
- Ensure design excellence and consistency across all landscape architecture projects.
- Contribute to RVi’s broader strategic goals and participate in firmwide leadership activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
- 10+ years of experience in landscape architecture projects.
- Professional licensure (PLA) required.
- Proven track record of successful leadership in both project execution and client development.
- Strong design portfolio.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and team leadership skills.
- Ability to travel for project work and client meetings.
