Rental Location Manager at Budget Car and Truck Rental of Kansas City

Description

Budget seeks a proactive self-starter and strong relationship builder for its Lawrence, KS store. This role encompasses every facet of the rental process, from direct sales and customer service to vehicle inspections and check-ins, inventory management, client follow-up and relations, vehicle detailing, and facility oversight. Budget Managers work 5 days a week with core hours of 8am-5pm, including partial weekend shifts. Apply if interested.

Clean driving record over the past 3 years (with limited exceptions)

Job Responsibilities:

Support Managers in running rental agency operations

Ensure smooth functioning of all operational departments

Monitor fleet and product flow to align with customer demand and reservations

Manage the computer counter agent system (open/close contracts, modify agreements, print/update manifests, etc.)

Help maintain daily inventory, both physical and digital

Promote and upsell coverages and upgrades (extra insurance, GPS, vehicle upgrades, etc.)

Handle opening/closing procedures and enforce security protocols

Perform office tasks: phone support, supply ordering, copying, and routine inquiries

Generate reports and log daily activities

Resolve customer questions (charges, vehicle issues, directions, etc.)

Foster teamwork by aiding other agents, locations, or departments as required

Participate in coaching and training team members when necessary

Assist with training, supervision, and motivation of staff

Requirements

At least 18+ A clean driving record in the last 3 years (with some exceptions) Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
