Qualified applicant must have minimum of high school or general equivalency diploma (GED). Post-secondary education is preferred.
The successful candidate will work under the directive of the Special Education teacher to which he/she is assigned and will follow all IEP goals and EA guidelines set forth by Wilson County Schools.
This is a 180-day position with insurance and retirement benefits.
Pay rate will be determined by education completed, experience, and placement on the Hourly Classified Salary Schedule. For applicants with less than a 2-year degree (or coursework equivalent), the appropriate grade is Grade 5, and a starting rate of no less than $14.87 per hour. For those with at least 2-year degree (or coursework equivalent), the appropriate grade is Grade 6, and a starting rate of no less than $16.07 per hour.
