A Day in the Life
This position will manage assigned Global Strategic Alliances Companies including relationships and agreements for the Acute Care & Monitoring Operating Unit. The Global Strategic Alliance Account Director (please note this title is the business title, the level of the role is Senior Program Manager) will work closely with Global Marketing, Engineering, Legal, Quality, Regulatory, Customer Service, Finance and Regional Sales & Marketing Leadership to develop and grow the ACM business through our Strategic Alliances partner’s Channel. This person will identify opportunities to develop the relationships, look at expanding partnership opportunities, grow sales of modules, and support increasing utilization of ACM technologies.
Key measures of success include Medtronic module sales, revenue, forecasting accuracy, growth of market share of MDT modules, road mapping to ensure future parameter availability and regional alignment to help manage sales channel conflicts and optimize disposable revenue.
We are seeking a committed professional to join our team. While this is a remote position not located at a physical Medtronic site, the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver's license is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities include:
Responsible for the development, support and maintenance of Global and Regional Business Agreements with assigned partners
Drive Integrations with aligned partners & monitoring solutions
Single point of contact for assigned partners for ACM, and first escalation point for partner’s problems
Regional Alignment with MDT business partners
Act as a key contact for Medtronic ACM global sales and marketing leadership on Strategic Alliance issues, strategies and information. This would include communication to all global regions on contract implementation, pricing requirements and market opportunities
Work directly with the Regions and Partners to develop strategies that improve the partnership between MDT and aligned Partners
Support sales training and education, and manage field support
Support QBRs, Strat Planning, Regional Promotions and Regional Meetings
Partner with aligned Partners
Quarterly Business Reviews
Roadmaps. Understand Partner Roadmaps to ensure Medtronic parameter availability and new technology opportunities
Promotion. Ensure Medtronic parameter products are listed in all Partner catalogs (including websites) as options with the intent of ensuring equal opportunity for our products compared to our competitors
Development and execution of strategic programs to jointly grow the monitoring business for ACM and the aligned partner
Accountable for getting the tracking of Partner’s multi-parameter systems (installed with Nellcor/BIS/INVOS/ Microstream and future solutions) on a global basis
Ensuring that key features, such as SPD, Percent Modulation, RR, SatSeconds, IPI and SARA as available through the MPM
Tradeshows and Conferences. Collaborate with Partners to ensure successful tradeshow promotions to highlight Medtronic Patient Monitoring parameters are exhibited at key tradeshows and conferences
Forecasting. Manage demand forecasts for products for financial performance tracking, manufacturing, regulatory planning and End of Life planning
Travel globally up to 50% of the time including some weekends.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 7 years of medical sales, sales management and/or marketing experience or Advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of medical sales, sales management and/or marketing required
Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive multi-disciplined business experience including Sales, Sales Management, Marketing and/or Strategic Planning preferred.
Special consideration will be given to candidates with Strategic Alliance sales/marketing backgrounds with multi-parameter patient monitoring solutions.
Prior Global sales and marketing experience a plus.
Ability to think strategically and execute methodically, to think globally and act locally.
Ability to understand and analyze financial data, be able to interact with R&D, identify new business opportunities, communicate effectively with all partners including senior management, and work on several issues simultaneously.
Strong operational discipline to work through complex workflows and technical challenges to find a working solution aligned with Partner’s environment and workflows.
Cultural and behavioral flexibility.
Superior communication and presentation skills, problem solving skills, interpersonal skills, negotiation skills and tactical project management skills are required and mission critical.
Multilingual is an advantage
