Toledo Tool & Die is adding Production Team Lead 1st Shift to our team to support our continued growth.

  • 1st Shift, Monday - Friday 5:45am-2:00pm

*Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends & some holidays) *

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

Assist Department Supervisor in assigning/delegating work, coordinating the safe and efficient operations of the department to meet operational goals. The Team Lead - Production will fill in for the supervisor and their duties when the supervisor is unavailable.

· Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve safety, production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.

· Assist with coordinating activities & training of employees; die setters, material handlers and operators.

· Confer with supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.

· Plan and establish job assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals when supervisor is unavailable.

· Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.

· Authority to stop production in the event unsafe parts or conditions appear. 

· Assist in problem solving/ corrective actions.

· Assist in developing work instructions.

· Ability to sit in on interviews and disciplines when the supervisor is unavailable.

· Must be able to multitask.

· Ability to give clear direction and communication.

· Train on Quality Alerts/Sign Off.

· Follow & enforce all PPE & safety protocols as outlined in TTD handbook.

· Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above.

High School diploma or equivalent.· Some previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is preferred. 

· Experience with die setting in a manufacturing environment· Identified candidates must be able to work overtime (daily, weekends and holidays).
