LEAD CPAP BILLING SPEC at CULLMAN REGIONAL

Job Summary:        

• Supervise staff and provide CPAP therapy to patients who are diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea.     
• Assure proper billing procedures are followed for all machines and/or supplies. Review all billing paperwork and ascertain certificate of medical necessities is documented and signed by physicians before billing summitted.    
• Knowledgeable of billing system, financial codes, payment types, diagnosis with coding abilities, and update insurance info.    
• Analyze and prepare reports for cost versus reimbursements of CPT codes, daily productivity, and month-end reports.    
• Supervise staff to ensure insurance guidelines for CPAP billing and follow the requirements expected    
• Patient compliance to therapy and patient’s satisfaction while minimizing unnecessary re-assessments and follow-up visits.    
• Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.      
• Upholds and promotes patient safety and quality.     

Qualifications

Education:                
Registered or certified in field of respiratory therapy preferred. 1-3 years' experience as a CPAP specialist required. Specialized knowledge of CPAP use, compliance software programs, technical adaptation and billing/collection required. Knowledge of DME billing procedures.                 

Experience:                
Three to five years’ experience in sleep disorders services helpful with knowledge and experience in CPAP/Bi-Level/VPAP Adapt therapy. One year experience in supervisory role. Must frequently use judgment in observing patients and communicating with staff members. Analytical skills necessary.                

Additional Skills/Abilities:                
Must have valid CRT or RRT Alabama license. CPR Certification.
