Position Overview:
Freddie Mac’s Finance division is currently seeking a Valuation Professional to be part of the Multifamily Finance department. The hired individual will be responsible for activities involving the valuation of Multifamily whole loans and guarantees.
Our Impact:
The Multifamily CFO department oversees financial accounting and reporting, profitability analysis, loan and guarantee valuation, and financial planning and analysis for Freddie Mac’s Multifamily segment. The team conducts monthly fair value assessments of the MF whole loan and guarantee portfolios to support financial reporting requirements. Additionally, the department generates monthly analytics that include attribution of fair value changes, which inform earnings forecasts and segment analysis functions.
Your Impact:
In this role, you will be an integral part of the monthly financial close and will be expected to:
Conducting monthly valuation procedures for Multifamily Held-for-Sale (HFS) loans, Held For Investment (HFI) loans, and Guarantee Securities
Providing support for valuation disclosures under GAAP financial reporting standards and the Fair Value Balance Sheet
Evaluating and interpreting the impact of changes in valuation methodologies on financial outcomes
Implementing SOX and operational controls to ensure compliance
Collaborating with Enterprise Risk Management to address matters related to valuation
Developing queries and processes that utilize Multifamily Pricing and Valuation data to produce comprehensive reporting and analytics
Performing additional reporting and analytics pertaining to Multifamily valuation
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent professional experience
A minimum of two years’ experience in fixed income, financial services, or financial analysis is required
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the capacity to learn additional software platforms
Experience utilizing SQL and working with relational databases

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $77,000 - $115,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
