Description
The Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, population 56,852 is located along Metra’s Union Pacific Northwest Line, 23 miles from downtown Chicago and five miles north of O’Hare International Airport. The Village’s Police Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Management Analyst.
The Management Analyst is a key member of the Department’s administrative team who will assist in the coordination and implementation of various projects within the police department. The work includes grant writing, data analysis, factual research, assembling reports, documents & presentations and project management. In addition, the Management Analyst is responsible for overseeing the squad fleet management including new squad outfitting, coordinating vehicle maintenance, and the maintenance of critical police gear. The Management Analyst also assists in the orientation and onboarding of new employees to the Police Department. They are called upon to assist the Department’s Administration with other projects and assist with video recovery for internal investigations. This full-time, non-sworn civilian position is under the direct supervision of the Administrative Commander.
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with prior experience in municipal, county or state law enforcement. Ability to learn Illinois laws regarding body camera video, redaction, and retention; learn best practices in police video technology. This position must maintain a valid driver's license and become LEADS certified.
Compensation and Hours
This position is FLSA non-exempt. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position with an excellent benefits package, including health and life insurance, IMRF pension, 457 retirement plan, vacation time, personal time, paid holidays, and sick days. The starting salary range for this position is $76,591-$91,909 when annualized, depending on qualifications. A complete job description is available by clicking here .
Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Consistent and regular attendance is essential for successfully completing the duties of this position.
