Supervisor: Streets Field Supervisor

Supervises: Assigned division personnel

Beginning Salary: $25.630/ hr.

Class Characteristics: Supervises, directs, and assists in the construction and maintenance of equipment, facilities, and other City property related to the division.
General Duties and Responsibilities: Assists in the construction and maintenance City property. Provides supervision to other employees related to construction and maintenance. Operates light vehicles, heavy vehicles, and motorized equipment. Directs safe and efficient operation of equipment. Detects equipment malfunctions and makes minor repairs or makes recommendations for major repairs. Performs preventive maintenance duties on equipment, facilities, and property. Cleans and properly stores equipment and tools after use. Assists in developing systems related to construction and maintenance. Prepares and maintains required reports and records. Assists other divisions in construction and maintenance duties. Requisitions equipment, tools, supplies, and materials.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Training and Experience: Graduation from high school or equivalent and extensive experience.

Certification/Licensing Requirements: Must possess and maintain a valid commercial driver’s license with air brake endorsement as a condition of continued employment in this class.

Availability: Must be able to respond to calls in emergency situations at any time and may rotate twenty-four (24) hour on-call with other crew leaders.

Overtime Provision: Non-Exempt
