- Facilitate the development and implementation of functional behavior assessments, behavior intervention plans and crisis plans for identified students.
- Provide constructive feedback regarding student behavior with teachers, clinical and other support staff.
- Track student progress; develop a data system to collect and summarize behavioral data.
- Maintain records of students’ reports, services provided and behavioral data.
- Measure goals and objectives of behavior support plans to ensure they are being met.
- Continually improve positive, non-threatening approaches to behavior management and discipline.
- Support the implementation of research based methods of classroom management and behavioral strategies.
- Serve as a resource/consultant to classroom teachers and other school personnel.
- Collaborate with therapists, classroom teachers and special subject teachers to implement an integrated educational model.
- Complete all reporting requirements as mandated by the school, state, federal, and educational agencies.
- Attend classroom, team, and IEP meetings, to coordinate and implement behavioral interventions.
- Continue to strengthen practice through participation in ongoing workshops, seminars, conferences, and/or advanced coursework.
- Coordinate between teachers and parents to implement behavioral interventions.
- Communicate with parents and case managers in regards to students’ progress.
- Analyze behavioral interventions to determine success.
- Assist students in identifying inappropriate behaviors and develop better behavior alternatives.
- Monitor and adjust programs designed for each student.
- Demonstrate professionalism in/outside agency
- Perform other duties as assigned.
