Under the direct supervision of an elementary computer, the computer aide assists staff and students with basic technology use. The ideal candidate will:
have a basic understanding of how to use technology, like laptops and printers
have the ability to accurately follow verbal and written instructions
possess interpersonal and communication skills necessary to work well with elementary students and staff
be dependable, regarding punctuality and attendance
help with the setup of computers, printers and peripherals
help track, manage and maintain technology, including inventory
have the ability to lift and/or carry classroom computer hardware when necessary
The computer aide works 6 hours daily, Monday through Friday. The shift is generally 8:30 am - 3:00 pm (with 30 minute break mid-shift) but a slight variation in hours can usually be accommodated.
