Position: Pricing Analyst
Location: Fairfax, VA
Work Environment: Remote
Status: Funded

Knowesis is currently seeking a Pricing Analyst to join our team and provide cost and pricing expertise in support of our federal contracting efforts. This role supports proposal development, cost modeling, and pricing strategy for competitive opportunities across multiple government agencies.

The Job Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develops, prepares, and reviews detailed cost and price proposals in response to federal solicitations (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs).
  • Analyzes solicitation requirements and identifies pricing risks and opportunities to ensure competitive and compliant submissions.
  • Collaborates with proposal, capture, contracts, finance, recruiting, and operations teams to gather accurate cost inputs and pricing assumptions.
  • Develops Basis of Estimate (BOE) narratives and cost volume documentation in accordance with solicitation instructions and FAR/DFARS regulations.
  • Coordinates with subcontractors for pricing inputs and ensures compliance with small business subcontracting goals.
  • Supports indirect rate development and forward pricing rate projections for the company.
  • Conducts market research and competitive analysis to benchmark labor rates and cost assumptions.
  • Participates in post-submission cost clarifications, negotiations, and audit support as needed.
  • Maintains pricing templates, databases, and historical cost information to improve proposal efficiency and accuracy.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • At least three (3) years of experience developing cost or pricing proposals for federal government contracts.
  • Experience developing proposals under multiple contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF, IDIQ, BPA)
  • Experience in price to win research estimates utilizing competitive intelligence from publicly available data sources and third-party sources such as GovWin.
  • Experience with Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) i.e., GSA schedules and federal agency Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts.
  • Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). 
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized and experienced in managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a small business government contractor environment and SBA Mentor-Protégé Joint Ventures.
  • Familiarity with DCAA compliance, indirect rate structures,
  • Experience supporting capture and proposal teams.
