The Littleton Group is experiencing rapid growth and is looking for an experienced TPA Transportation Adjuster to join our team. As a TPA (Third-Party Administrator) Transportation Adjuster, you will hold a pivotal role in the insurance industry, specializing in handling transportation-related claims for a diverse clientele. Your primary responsibility will involve investigating and evaluating insurance claims arising from various transportation incidents, such as personal auto accidents. With a keen eye for detail and a comprehensive understanding of insurance policies and regulations, you will conduct on-site inspections, interview involved parties, collect evidence, and collaborate with industry experts to accurately determine liability and assess damages. 

Your exceptional communication and negotiation skills will be crucial as you work closely with claimants, attorneys, and other stakeholders to achieve fair and efficient claim settlements. Reporting to the TPA Manager, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of customer service and adherence to industry guidelines, ensuring seamless claim resolution and client satisfaction in the dynamic world of transportation insurance. This role is a full-time, home-based position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and evaluate insurance claims arising from various transportation incidents, such as personal auto accidents
  • Conduct on-site inspections, interview involved parties, collect evidence, and collaborate with industry experts to accurately determine liability and assess damages 
  • Possess superior report writing skills and strong time management skills
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively with all involved parties
  • Displayed ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Possess exceptional computer skills
  • Analyze and apply coverage on both routine and complex claims
  • Adjudicate claims in an expeditious and professional manner
  • Set and maintain diaries
  • Complete client reporting timely
  • Control loss adjustment expenses, recommend and manage reserves
  • Document all correspondence, reports, discussions, and decisions in the claims system
  • Notify management of any situations which may affect the underlying claim
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills, knowledge & expertise

Required-
  • 2+ years of experience handling collision, comprehensive, and property damage claims 
  • 2+ years of experience handling bodily injury claims
  • 2+ years of experience handling litigated claims.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience in insurance, claims handling, or transportation-related industries
  • Hold a valid Texas All Lines Adjuster license 
  • Maintain CEU credits for Adjuster license
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience with litigation and litigated claims  
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of insurance policies, coverage types, and industry regulations related to transportation claims
  • Familiarity with handling diverse personal transportation-related incidents
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and investigative skills to assess liability, damages, and subrogation potential accurately
  • Proven ability to conduct on-site inspections, gather evidence, interview involved parties, and collaborate with industry experts to support claim assessments
  • Display exceptional communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with claimants, attorneys, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Harness a detail-oriented mindset with the ability to handle multiple claims simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and adherence to deadlines
  • Proficiency in using claims management software and databases for efficient data recording and reporting 
Preferred-
  • Possession of, or the ability to obtain, Adjuster Licenses in Florida, Georgia, and Alabama 
  • Knowledge of fraud detection techniques and experience in handling potential fraudulent claims
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
