About the Opportunity
Nederlander Productions is offering a unique opportunity for a college-level architecture student to gain real-world experience toward their NCARB Architectural Experience Program (AXP) hours under the supervision of a New York State licensed architect.
This internship will provide hands-on exposure to the planning, maintenance, and renovation of historic Broadway theatres in New York City. Interns will work directly with the Director of Facilities and other departments across our organization, gaining valuable insight into architectural project coordination, building code compliance, documentation, and preservation practices within the theatrical industry.
Who Should Apply
We’re looking for a current architecture student who is:
- Actively working toward licensure and looking to log AXP hours
- Interested in historic preservation, adaptive reuse, or the performing arts
- Eager to understand the intersection of architecture, facilities management, and operations in live entertainment venues
- A strong communicator and collaborator with attention to detail
- Candidates must be proficient in AutoCAD
Internship Highlights
- Supervision and mentorship from a licensed architect in New York State
- Exposure to renovation and restoration projects in landmark theatres
- Opportunities to participate in site visits, document reviews, and coordination with consultants
- Cross-department collaboration with Operations, Theatrical Administration, and Digital Marketing
- Up to 20 hours per week | $17 per hour
Other Information
Interns may be asked to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally lift items up to 10 lbs. The Nederlander Organization maintains an inclusive and respectful workplace, and all interns will participate in required DEIB and anti-harassment training alongside full-time staff.
