Colliers Engineering & Design is looking for a passionate Project Engineer to join our dynamic Traffic Planning group at our Phoenix, AZ office! Responsibilities:- Apply broad knowledge of principles and practices in a specific area.
- Independently evaluate, select and adapt standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
- Design complete projects, systems, components or processes.
- Prepare advanced general and basic non-routine engineering designs and/or technical data for completion and accuracy.
- Prepare complete project documents.
- Analyze and interpret data, formulate and solve problems.
- Prepare scopes of work, budgets and schedule assignments.
- Assist with proposal development for professional services.
- Provide direction to engineers, technicians and administrative staff.
- Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of engineering work.
- Attend meetings and present specific components of assignments.
- Work within AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation to complete projects within established budgets and deadlines.
- Perform field investigations/ site visits as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.
- 4+ years of transportation/traffic engineering experience required.
- PE license in AZ, or through reciprocity, is also required.
- Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation and other related software packages.
- Demonstrate advanced, general and basic non-routine knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, principles and practices.
- Demonstrate advanced technical and nontechnical writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
