About the Role

The Banquet Lead (Banquet Captain) would oversee setting up/breaking down materials for events including but not limited to tables, chairs, stages, dance floors, Food and beverage stationery equipment. This position is responsible for the physical setup, breakdown, and maintenance of all banquet spaces and meeting rooms in accordance with event specifications They would primarily work evenings at the conclusion of events into the overnight hours with some AM shifts if needed. Set up meeting rooms according to banquet event order forms and associated diagrams to ensure set up meets guest expectations. Transport of awkward and heavy materials such as staging, tables, chairs, dance floors, etc., from storage area to rooms in a safe manner using proper equipment. Break down rooms and return banquet items to storage closet in a neat and organized fashion. Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet storage areas, loading docks, and service corridors. Ensure equipment is properly stored and in working order, report maintenance issues promptly. Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and cleanliness guidelines and policies. Must be comfortable with physical labor, standing, and moving for extended periods. Must be able to lift 50lbs or more, reliable, able to follow directions, prioritize tasks, work independently. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in food safety and sanitation

  • Experience with event coordination

  • High attention to detail to ensure flawless service presentation and delivery

  • Ability to lift 25–50 pounds regularly

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
