This role is responsible for building strong relationships with area growers and providing them with agronomic solutions that maximize crop production and profitability. This role focuses on seed, crop protection, fertilizer, and precision ag products/services, while also providing excellent customer service and agronomic expertise tailored to our customers’ acres.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers.
Provide agronomic recommendations on seed, fertility, crop protection, and precision agriculture practices.
Promote and sell agronomy products and services to achieve sales goals
Conduct field scouting, soil sampling, and crop monitoring to support recommendations.
Collaborate with growers to create crop plans and input strategies for the season.
Stay current on product knowledge, agronomic practices, and industry trends relevant to the region.
Work with the agronomy team to ensure accurate ordering, delivery, and application of products.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and field data.
Represent the company at grower meetings, field days, and community events.
Assist with operational needs as available, approved by management.

Requirements
Education and Experience
2-year degree in Agronomy, Ag Business, Crop Science or related field or equivalent experience. 4-year degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Qualifications
Sales background
Knowledge of agronomic information relating to Midwest crops such as corn, soybeans, alfalfa, etc.
Excellent communication skills and relationship building skills
Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude
Strong prioritization and organizational skills
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, walk and be on feet for 8 to 10 hours a day
Ability to frequently bend, reach, squat & kneel
Capable to do repeated actions
Effectively communicate with team members
Ability to utilize Microsoft 365, precision ag technology, etc.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within assigned territory, will be required to get seasonal Class B CDL.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Work Environment
Schedule: Must work scheduled days and hours. Must work full time, a minimum of 80 hours each pay period.
Environment: indoors and outdoors. Nosie level is usually quiet to moderate.
Travel: Will travel to trainings, meetings, and producer sites.
