Job Summary
The Payroll Clerk assists the Payroll Manager in handling and processing payroll for 700+ employees through Paycom. The Payroll Clerk processes invoices related to Payroll, performs GL Account reconciliations, and provides Payroll reporting and analysis.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll and other off-cycle payroll
 - Review and process timecards
 - Collect and process daily reports
 - Distribute all signed checks as required
 - File and store all internal reports
 - Track employee receivables, annuities, loans, and garnishments
 - Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and for payment
 - Prepare and maintain payroll reports, spreadsheets, correspondences, and other files
 - Prepare ledger entries with earnings and deductions
 - Assist in monthly closing by reviewing balance sheets
 - Perform filing, copying, and scanning of payroll records
 - Attend to payroll inquiries from employees
 - Other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
 - Effective interpersonal skills
 - Understanding of basic accounting terminology
 - Basic computer skills are required in order to perform basic data entry
 - Basic knowledge of Excel or similar spreadsheet applications
 - Ability to organize and prioritize workload
 - Ability to work effectively and efficiently under stress
 - Understand and follow instructions
 
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or similar field; or a have a certified payroll professional accreditation; or at least 3 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience
 
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

 - This job operates in an office setting and requires frequent times of sitting, standing, repetitive motion and talking
 - Ability to lift up to 24 pounds and move from place to place.
