Position Title: Payroll Specialist (District)
Terms of Employment: 12 Month Position
Immediate Supervisor: CSBO
Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00PM

Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the CSBO to process and disburse hourly wages, salaries, deductions, benefits, taxes and other withholdings. Posts payroll data and prepares routine reports and/or payments to government agencies.
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, HR, Accounting or any other related field with course work in business, math, accounting, and bookkeeping
Experience working as an assistant clerk in a school setting.
Knowledge of accounting software such as Skyward (Qmlativ) and Frontline preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
Processes the semi-monthly payroll for all school district employees.
Responsible for maintaining accurate withholdings for state and federal taxes and processes checks as necessary for payroll taxes.
Processes payroll invoices.
Maintains all sick, vacation, and leave time.
Maintains all voluntary deductions.
Processes time clock data/timesheets each pay period.
Prepares and maintains IMRF and TRS reports and forms as required, year-end W-2s, payroll withholding forms W-4s
Coordinates and maintains all personnel data related to 403(b), FSA and all other benefits.
Applies and maintains employee garnishments and pay deductions as required
Verifies and corrects payroll adjustments
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
