Additional responsibilities may include coordinating and scheduling appointments, updating patients’ electronic medical records, routing telephone calls, assisting with the creation of educational materials and patient letters, participating in team meetings and performance/quality improvement projects.%3Co:p%3E%3C/o:p%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/p%3E%3Ch1%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:%27times new roman%27, times, serif;font-size:12px;%22%3E%3Cspan style=%22text-decoration:none;%22%3EEDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS%3Co:p%3E%3C/o:p%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/h1%3E%3Cp class=%22MsoNormal%22%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:%27times new roman%27, times, serif;font-size:12px;%22%3EHigh School diploma or equivalency certificate (e.g., GED, HiSET, TASC Test) from an accredited institution or governmental unit required. Associate degree in a healthcare field, a bachelor’s degree or other non-clinical degree combined with an interest in healthcare and/or Genetic Counselor Assistant Training Program certification or experience is preferred.
