• Completion of a bachelor's degree AND additional requirements (coursework and/or praxis) necessary to obtain a teaching license. Preference given to those who have completed an approved teacher prep program and possess or are eligible for a teaching license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia. Associate (Unlicensed) Teachers are considered based on division needs. 
• Experience working with students in a classroom setting (does not apply to current HCS employees).
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and human relations skills.
• Have knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives and the needs and abilities of children.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, and parents.
• Currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer as ?all instructional opportunities are in-person, located in Hampton, VA. 

SALARY:

• Associate(Unlicensed) Teacher with bachelors: $45,000; Associate (Unlicensed) Teachers are considered based on division needs. 
• Licensed/Licensed eligible teacher: Teacher scale -- commensurate with experience; Starting at $56,750,000 & $59,350 masters 25/26 SY; 26/27 SY TBD
