Job Title:
Part-Time IT Help Desk Technician
Schedule: 5 days/week (Part-Time in Office)
Overview:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented IT Help Desk Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is essential in providing front-line support for our users, assisting with hardware, software, and connectivity issues. You’ll help keep our technology running smoothly by responding to support requests, configuring and maintaining workstation equipment, and coordinating with external IT vendors when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level support for user issues related to hardware, software, and connectivity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve routine technical problems following established guidelines.
- Log and document support requests; escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or external vendors as needed.
- Set up and configure workstations, including desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and other peripherals.
- Administer user accounts and permissions within Active Directory and other enterprise tools.
- Track and manage IT inventory, including issuance and return of hardware.
- Prioritize and manage help desk tickets based on urgency and business impact.
- Maintain detailed documentation for systems, procedures, and technical support issues.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Understanding of PC hardware, peripheral devices (printers, scanners, etc.), and network connectivity.
- Experience configuring and installing desktop and laptop systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow technical documentation and procedures accurately.
- A proactive, customer-focused attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple support requests effectively.
Experience: 1+ year of proven help desk or technical support experience.
