Cape Cod Collaborative is seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to support students enrolled in the STAR Program. This program serves students with significant developmental disabilities and complex learning needs. The Occupational Therapist will play a vital role in helping students develop functional skills for greater independence in school and daily life.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ sensory, motor, and functional needs.
 - Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals.
 - Provide direct therapy services in classroom and community-based settings.
 - Collaborate with educators, paraprofessionals, families, and related service providers.
 - Support staff in implementing sensory strategies and adaptive techniques.
 - Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to progress monitoring and documentation.
 - Assist in the selection and use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
 - Promote student engagement in meaningful activities that support learning and independence.
 
Qualifications
- Massachusetts licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
 - Experience working with students with significant disabilities preferred.
 - Knowledge of sensory integration, assistive technology, and adaptive strategies.
 - Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
 
Working Conditions
- School-based and community settings within the STAR Program.
 - May require physical activity and lifting to support student mobility.
 - Travel between Collaborative sites may be required.
