General Summary:
The IT Support Specialist provides foundational technical support across a variety of IT functions, assisting with user onboarding, hardware setup, system access, and troubleshooting. This role is ideal for individuals beginning their career in IT and looking to gain broad experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The IT Support Specialist will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and employee support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with onboarding new employees, including communicating domain user details to the Managed Service Provider (MSP).
- Support employees with multi-factor authentication (MFA) setup and first-time PC configuration.
- Configure employee access to systems such as door card entry and ERP platforms.
- Set up workstation hardware including desks, monitors, and peripherals.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of devices such as PCs, printers, and other office equipment.
- Track and manage IT inventory including hardware and accessories.
- Provide user support for software license enrollments and changes.
- Help document IT procedures and FAQs to support consistent and efficient operations.
- Monitor and respond to support tickets, escalating issues as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to implement improvements and support infrastructure upgrades.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
- Relevant education or practical experience preferred, including coursework, certifications, internships, or hands-on technical support.
- 0–2 years of experience in a technical support or IT helpdesk role.
- Familiarity with basic hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Exposure to ERP systems, MFA, and IT inventory management is a plus.

- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

- Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, and user access controls.
- Willingness to learn and grow within a collaborative IT team.
